The Salt Cure

Look how big my girl is!  I am feeling much better after 10 days down at the beach.
Note to self- if you don't wear your retainer you get gaps.  I'm going with the character-adding aspect because I'm never having braces again.
Miss Priss loved sitting up in the sand and watching the waves.

My brother and sister-in-law (reality- my lovely SIL) surprised me with a birthday flower and champagne delivery.
It was an excellent companion to fried oysters and shrimp from the Seagrove Market.
And birthday crabcakes at Red Bar.  Dell Harper enjoyed a roll or two, and her first high chair experience.
We were joined by some dear friends and their four month old for the latter half of the week. The baby girls did a lot of staring at each other.
And even a little hand holding in their matching suits.  I am still dying over the cuteness.

Anyway, I am trying to immerse myself back in reality, but I want to bob around in the gulf instead. Sigh. Back to the fluorescent lit prison. . .

  1. Look at those sweet, sweet girls together! I am so glad ya'll had a nice getaway. And yum, those hush puppies look amazing!

  2. Glad you are back! 10 days at the beach sounds a treat. Today is the first day of classes, so I hear you of the fluorescent lit prison...

  3. Oh, what a wonderful trip. So jealous! Why do I live in the middle of the freaking country no where near a beach again?!

  4. What a great little getaway! I'm dying for some fried oysters right now. Planning a NOLA pilgrimage this fall to refuel.

  5. Yay for a happy mama and girl! So glad to see the two of y'all doing well!

  6. Alright, now you've got me all day dreaming about 30A. Oh how I love that place. So glad y'all had a fun trip and baby girl is totally getting so big!

I love to hear from y'all, so drop me a line!
